    WINNERS ANNOUNCED Thank you to all the students across Australia who auditioned for the 2022 John Bell Scholarship. Bell Shakespeare artists auditioned students from across the country, working with each student on their chosen Shakespeare monologue, via online and in person auditions. From a shortlist of 18 students, four winners have now been selected. The judging panel included Founding Artistic Director John Bell and Artistic Director Peter Evans.     For one week in January, actor Joe Appleton will train with the Bell Shakespeare theatre company as one of four nationwide winners of the John Bell scholarship.Appleton has been acting since kinder, and after eight years at the Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts he’s excited to step up his studies.
